In launching a new clothing brand the effort put into the brand DNA and company culture has equal standing with the effort put into the design and manufacture of the product itself.
At Good Shirt the company ethos and clothing design are based around a simple yet profound statement that “The clothing industry is the second largest polluter in the world ... second only to oil,” - Eileen Fisher
So are we going to be another clothing company that shamelessly plays their part in the polluting of our planet?, or are we going to be a sustainable company that makes a conscious effort in playing a part in restoring the balance, and reducing mankind's impact on the environment?
It’s a no brainer really, we're taking the sustainable route, and in doing so we'll follow in the footsteps of companies like legendary outdoors company Patagonia, whose light shines brightest of all clothing companies as a sustainable producer and environmentally aware company and has no doubt inspired many others like ourselves to take this less trodden but ultimately the more rewarding path.
Collaboration is another integral component of our Brand DNA and in launching Good Shirt Collab Tees with this great collection of images as chosen by the “Dream Team” of Collaborating Photographers we're off to a great start.
The Travel & Adventure theme of our first Collab really sets the tone, and is a big part of what we love. Between them, the Dream Team of Photographers have clocked some serious miles both in the air and on the ground, and so we celebrate this world we love in all it’s diversity through their awesome range of photographic prints on these Limited Edition Good Shirts.
As a sustainable company Good Shirt will also actively champion environmental causes that we are passionate about.
Good Shirt is kicking off our first social responsibility initiative with Conservation Photographer/ Eco Warrior Paul Hilton's #SaveLeuserEcosystem Collab Tees designed to raise awareness of the environmental travesty that is taking place there with large scale industrial development for palm oil, pulp and paper plantations and mining which threaten the entire ecosystem.
Paul together with other committed individuals and organisations are on a mission to help preserve this the most bio diverse region in the world and home to the Sumatran Tiger, Sumatran Elephant, Sumatran Rhino and the Orangutan to name just a few of the Leuser Ecosystems inhabitants that are being pushed to the brink of extinction.
So share the love, tell your friends about our upcoming campaign, and make your next shirt, a Good Shirt ; )
